About Randy:

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and received my Master’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I have practiced as an individual, couples, and group therapist for nearly 40 years—the last 33 at Mayo Clinic. My work at Mayo has included functioning as a staff therapist in the Intensive Psychotherapy Center, the section of Community Psychiatry and Psychology, and the Depression Center Mood Program. I bring warmth, curiousity, sensitivity, and perspective to the valued theraputic task of understanding and change. Experience has taught me that providing a safe, empathic, yet honest interpersonal environment is the key to facilitating personal and relationship growth.

About Marilyn:

I am an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse certified in Psychiatry and Mental Health, with a degree from the University of Minnesota.  At heart, I am a therapist, who believes in the power of psychotherapy to strengthen and heal.  I see the relationships with ourselves and others as central to our lives, and that when there is struggle or difficulty in those relationships, it can lead to great pain and suffering.  I strive to create a safe, caring, and welcoming space where you can share your struggles, and through exploration, find new ways to address them.  In my 29 years of experience working in the Dept. of Psychiatry and Psychology at the Mayo Clinic, I had the opportunity to work with a broad variety of people and issues, and have particular interest in relationship issues, trauma and abuse, and sexual issues.  I see both individuals and couples.  I see my role as facilitating and guiding, helping you to better understand yourself and others in your world, and to make positive and healthy choices for yourself.
